Carrillo Tamale Fundraiser, Women of Dedication Awards Tea, and Tucson Sunrise Rotary Club

November 10, 2008 by dianetucker
It was a pleasure to help my friend and co-worker Aracely Perez, her daughters, and students with their tamale event at Carrillo Intermediate Magnet School to help raise funds for computers.  Principal Ruben Diaz has wonderful leadership qualities, which has created teamwork and dedication from his staff.  Students at Carrillo gain confidence, self esteem, and excel beyond parents expectations. The school strives to get their parents involved  in several of activities and fundraiser events geared towards making Carrillo a better place. Carrillo continues to strive to keep test scores and standardized expectations from the district and state above average. Thank you for inviting me to your successful event.

It was a great honor to receive a “Woman of Dedication Award” at the Salvation Army’s Women of Dedication Awards Tea event at the Chantilly Tea Room. My husband Thomas, my mom Lorraine, and I enjoyed the delicious tea and crumpets!  Thank you to my friend Tamara McElwee for presenting the awards to me, Chita, Gina Murphy-Darling, Heather Robinson, Jan Robinson, Kathleen LaRose, Linda Solomon, Slivy Edmunds Cotton, and Susie Dupnik. The Salvation Army has a 143 year history of mission-driven service throughout the world and has been a source of faith, education, and support for millions of people.

Thank you to Dad and his friend Dave Barber for inviting me to speak at the Tucson Sunrise Rotary Club and the Arizona Inn.  I had the opportunity to share my Mrs. America and Mrs. World experiences and promote my platforms Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation and The National Anthem Project.

Miss America 2008 Kirsten Haglund, DL-Couture Fashion Designer Danell Lynn, and I took part in the first annual Airline Ambassadors Global Compassion Ball at the United Nations Headquarters’ Delegates Dining Room in New York City. Univera in Las Vegas and Make-A-Wish in San Diego!

September 20, 2008 by dianetucker

It was a pleasure to film my testimonial and the Health and Fitness segment in Vegas for Univera Life Science’s website http://netimpact.us! I’m thrilled to have my own site www.theuniverasite.com.  Thank you to Tony and Deborah Underwood, John Terhune, John Rogers, Scott McKay, Brad Lea, and staff at Lightspeed VT.  I have experienced increased energy for my work-outs, less joint discomfort, better mental clarity when giving presentations, and reduced stress from Univera’s nutritional products. I look forward to continuing to promote through sharing the power of the healthier aging mission of Univera Life Sciences.

Thank you to Make-up Artist Kelly Wisniewski and Casey McClain of Rhinestone Productions for inviting me to walk the Red Carpet at the “Making Wishes Come True PBCE Modeling Expo” in San Diego.  All proceeds from the event benefited the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation’s mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors, and communities. A network of more than 25,000 volunteers enable the foundation to serve children with life-threatening medical conditions. Volunteers serve as wish granters, fundraisers, special events assistants, and in numerous other capacities.  Thank you to the volunteers for making this a successful event and for making childrens wishes come true.

Diane
